New FD owner in Portland, where does everyone hang out?

Hey,

I just got into the RX7's and thought I would say HI. It seems like there are quite a few RX7s in the area and wanted to find out if there are any meets or get togethers coming up? I work at a performance shop in Portland, but don't do much work with the rotory's, but we do have a dyno, does anyone ever put together dyno days? Anyways, the RX7 seems like a great car so far, damn it handles well !

RPNW.ORG is the local club. We meet the first Wednesday of every month out near Tigard (see the web site for the location) for pizza and to talk club business. The season is winding down but I think we are still planning one more Karting day and a GrandTurismo head-to-head Challenge (simulator rigs with force feedback wheels, using networked PS2s and separate screens). The outdoor activities are pretty much over for the year, following our two-day drive to the coast and back a couple weekends ago. Planning for next year is the next item on the agenda. We usually have something happening every month. Car shows, drives, dyno days, tech sessions, etc.

Hey Tim, I moved up here about a year ago and one of the best resources I've found is Spyder. Tons of parts and knowledge there. We're always at Apex Restoration in Beaverton working on one FD or another. We've both got our FD's in pieces at the moment (I'm doing a v8 swap and Spyder's rebuilding/repainting) Shoot me a PM or something.

I haven't had much contact with RPNW but I'm probably going to be shunned now that I'm swapping. The H2H GranTurismo sounds like a blast and a half tho!
