New carb project

Well, apparently my Dellorto is going to collect dust for awhile, so on to the next carb. I have a 12A IDF manifold with a 44 IDF on it. I've got the rebuild kit on the way, and since the jets for the dcoe and idf are the same except the idles, I can use some of what I have acquired for my 45 dcoe to get her up and running. So, has anyone here ever run one of these on a 12a? What kind of baseline should I start with? I've got a street ported 12a. Is the 44 IDF comparable to the 45dcoe? The chokes are the same on the two, so do I use the same jetting? Any advice or experience would be appreciated.

delarto jetting

Some thing came to mind today. Have you called racing beat to see if they still have the jetting data sheets provided with the carb kit and calibration jet kit you got with the purchase? I remember, I think, it had a base line and suggested jet set up for each application. Just a thought.

RB said they sold the last setup last year. They gave no other info, but said I was welcome to use what ever I could find out. LOL Didn't ask about a jetting sheet. But since the carb has no chokes and no stack either, it's a mute point. I don't have an additional 150 + to throw at it just to get it to where I can start to tune. I'm chalking it up to needing to ask more questions and inspect things better when I buy, it's on the shelf till I can pull more money out my a**. Now I'm on to new headaches and another carb with little or no support for a rotary. LOL I must love frustration! IDF help anyone?!

Well, I got 200 bucks worth of jets/tubes/rebuld kit etc. for my Dellorto paperweight in from Itally today, along with the new rebuild kit and jets etc. for my IDF. Went to tear down the IDF and found that there is no pump spring in it. So, looks like I have alot of carb parts with no working carbs and not enough info or peices for either! Aint life grand! Need to get both lined out anyway, so anyone that has either one, if you could post your settings, I'd appreciate it. I haven't figured out yet if I pissed of the majority of the club somehow, or if I'm just the only idiot with a DHLA or an IDF.

Never messed with a Dell. I've ridden in an FB with a 48 IDF before, but that's about the extent of my experience with those.
