Hey Figured Id get acquainted with all of you all, Iv been to a couple Izzy's meets a couple years ago when my older bro (some of you may remember him) Jack Daniels owned his maroon FC, well I got Hooked on owning a Rotary so I bought a 1983 Rx7 FB with a street ported 12a engine from atkins rotary in it, well Im pretty sure the guy who sold me it didnt give me the Carb he had in it or didnt have it at all the carb looks like the stock one... I can turn it over and get it running or I have to push start it to get it running, It Idles fine but as soon as I give it a little gas it dies I can get it up the road but every time I shift it usualy wants to die on me so i have to put my foot in it, I figured it could be a Carb problem was wonding if some one could possibly take a look at it

It could also be the a fuel pump problem but im not to sure
I live about a mile away from the Izzy's pizza where the meets are if any one could help please Pm me or post on the boards

Welcome to the darkside young rotorwalker..........

Go to the 1st Gen forum, the best 1st gen minds are there to pick and ask questions. Also check the FAQ on the 1stGen forum so you can formulate your questions and maybe find the answer.

Sorry I can't help you with the carb/starting issue.

I'm the fabricator/Drift guy, not the carb guy.

Welcome to the forums!

Sorry I cant offer my help as I only know fuel injection. The only tidbit of advice I can offer is of a carb tuning part that you replace a spark plug with. Basically my understanding is this replacement has a see through port and you adjust fuel until the combustion flame is blue. After the carb is tuned, you replace the part with the original spark plug. Although I could be spreading wrong info though. Best of luck!
