You will need a LSD if the model you have didn't come with one. Engine swap isn't a must but would help. If your engine is newer or very healthy a superchager kit will take care of the power issue.

Ask woundup7 were he got his TII engine it was somewere in lynwood but it was a great deal I think. He would also be a great person to get knowledge about the swap and getting more perfomance out of your car. He autocrosses with it all the time, and the last trip to the dyno he made a litlle over 300 hp at the wheels.

yeah, also ask Woundup7 how much he hates going sideways in said car.... Not to be a punk, but sell it and buy an FC to throw sideways... FBs just cant really handle it, they just go fast in a straight line.

I don't know much about drifting - I've always done it unintentionally. But I have found woundup7's former turbo fb to go sideways quite easily, although not when I wanted it to.
FB's lack of independent rear suspension make them a struggle to handle when you add more power in particular on rough or uneven pavement.
There is a guy on here who drifts his 1st gen quite successfully, has a nice looking widebody kit too. I think his screen name is slammedgsl or something like that and he could probably be a lot of help.
