Smile New...

Thought I would introduce myself since I am new to the boards. I currently do not own an RX7 but I would like to... I've been looking more into the specs of this fine little car and the more I see the more I like .

I think when I get the money together I will buy two first gen's and use one of them as a parts car. Any input from you guys? Recommendations purhaps?

I have 2 first gens, one is my recreational driver and the other needs its engine put in. Very fun cars. Didn't care for the gen 1 at first, but have grown to love them, my personal fav. next to the 3rd gens.

I think most of us have parts or a few cars for parts. There's always someone around to help if you need parts or tech advice.

I've got a couple for sale, 85'gs hardtop no motor or tranny,silver with maroon int. 85' GSL, power steering, AC, White w/Maroon int, Stock, no mods done. GSL is my backup daily driver when the "hottness" is being worked on. both have good bodies, GSL has great paint, GS needs paint. PM me and we'll talk.

Welcome to the forum. And btw, good idea on buying 2 1st gens. you might even want to go as far as picking up 3 or 4. You can never have enough parts cars.

That's cool. When I really get going with the RX7 thing I will have to get in touch with them. It is always nice to know people who share your love of a car. haha I am already drooling over them and I haven't even gotten one yet!

I was the same way...when I was growing up my father owned a brand new 80 rx7. I wanted one so bad from that point on. I made the mistake of buying a 95 z28 camaro vert then when I went to college I needed money to pay for all those insane bills. I picked up a GSL-SE for a fraction of the cost of the z28 and had a lot more fun with it. Plus insurance is cheaper.

Personally I think that there is tons of potential in the neat little cars. Have fun and keep us posted.

Classic Car insurance for some reason is WAY cheaper than normal insurance.
