need to use a belt sander

needs to be near portland area, I just need to true up my turbo hot side and turbo manny. need to do this tomarrow.

You should never take a belt sander to a turbo manifold or any manifold. It will result in a even worse uneven surface. Bare minimum, it should be chucked up in a mill + a fly cutter ran over it. Unless you can find a sander with 220 grit paper (Common metal belt/disc sander uses 24-100 grit paper) I suggest you use a Pineapple crush gasket and call it good. No need for a mill/sander.

been blowing through those on a weekly basis. I got it milled flat today, and have a stainless gasket to replace carbon one.

Yeah using a belt sounder doesn't seem like such a good idea.

well it passes with a flat edge and a feeler gauge. I'll let you know how it works. Rob at pineapple says thats the way to go.
