I've been looking for one as well.

I'll keep looking, and once I find a place, I'll post info.

+1 for Pineapple. I think they do re-nitriding, too.

Yeah, Atkins was saying that they've had serious issues from lapping some of the newer rotary-engine plates (and not re-nitrading). I'm just parroting information, but it made me a bit wary of getting irons lapped and not treating them...

just in case no one knows,Pineapple no longer does lapping locally, the shop that he used screwed up some of the plates,so they had tobe re nitrided, then relapped, well the shop charged Pineapple for the screwup and also charged him retail,so i have been helping to try and find anew source, until then looks like racingbeat.just thought i would give a heads up on the situation,Paul.

Very true. The shop charged us 3x the usual price, took 3x as long as usual and we had to have a lot of it redone. Needless to say, we are no longer dealing with them. No other local shop we have found is capable of doing the work competently or cost effectively. Almost any lapping shop can make something flat, but few have the capability or motivation to maintain the required specs for parallelism and perpendicularity, as well as other considerations relevant uniquely to a rotary engine.

Well Ill put a notice here I could really use some S4 plates, my current ones can just be felt with a finger nail and I don't want to find out what the shipping of plates back and forth to california are.
