Need help with microtech install and tune so I can finish my car

Alright so I finally got around to working on my car again and I am going to be putting the engine in tomorrow if the weather cooperates. Or I'll just do it sometime this week. Anyways I need some help very badly installing my microtech LT-8s. I have a harness and all that I got when I bought this from a fellow forum member. But I need help installing and tuning because I have never done this before. Engine wiring is not exactly my specialty. I just want to get this installed so I can get my car up and running after so long. Thanks in advance to whoever wants to help me. Ohh yeah I would love to bring this to linder but I don't exactly have money to do that, I don't have a job anymore and I'm at the end of my budget for my car. LOL Though, Linder does do some badass quality work!!!

Gary Brooks is a Microtech guru when it comes to installations and tuning, doesn't work for free though. Extremeperformancellc.com

I had Gary install and tune my 79 supercharged car when it was Supercharged. Honestly he tuned it the best out of many that tried to tune it when it was supercharged. He is an honest person, fair person, and a great friend.

He has done his homework and learned a lot about the Microtech. I would go with Gary. Tell him I said Hi if you call him.

Here's his number if ya wanna get in touch with him. (253) 677-5616

I would actually love to drive my car there but I can't drive my car. LOL It is my project car and the microtech is what I am using to run it. The specs are as follows, car is a 86 base, engine is a 87TII, street Ported and lapped plates, I'm using a Holset H1C (Hx40) turbocharger, Stock TII injectors (until I get some bigger ones), I also have a MSD 6AL. That is pretty much it in a nutshell, as for the microtech, I have a harness that came with the microtech when I bought it from a fellow forum member, the harness came off a S4TII if I remember right. I still have the spliced JDM TII harness and a perfect S4 N/A harness. I'm actually looking for someone to just actually help me install it on the car. Tuning I can take care of and I ahev friends that do their own cars so I can get help from them but installing it is my problem cuz I suck with wiring and I don't wanna do it wrong... I might just end up giving it a shot though if I can't find anyone or worse comes to worse I'll tow the damn car to linder and pay him to install. Don't know where I'll get the money yet but I'll figure out a way... Pm me if u can help me, I know people don't like to work for free but I'm just need a break as paying for college and all plus I just got a ticket today, yeah I need a break. Thanks in advance

If your friends can help you tune, why couldn't they help you install it? If you got the harness from a fellow member, it is "pre-made" so to speak? As for going to Garry, I have researched him recently finding out that my car runs like ****, and I am most likely going to try to have him tune my car when savings builds up a tad bit more. There are substitutes for wages (Beer) but For some reason your story seems like it has holes in it, but I am willing to help along with my friends that have automotive knowledge.

I don't recommend your friends tuning this unless they have some sort of credentials, or proof that they wont pull a snafu on your car. And for tuning your microtech, I don't suggest you go to Justin Linder. He complained about microtech frequently when he tuned it on my car.

PM me if you need anything!

Thanks for the advice, well as for my friends a couple of them are honda guys with that use uberdata, chrome, and hondata. I know a couple of guys that live out of town that used Power FC and AEM on their track cars but no one that used Microtech in the past. Actually ur right I do have a harness already so I could do it myself. LOL I was there when Linder was installing the microtech was installing ur Microtech. He did complain about it. If I am not mistaken u have a Microtech LT10S right?

Is there a way you could get your car to Spokane? Thats a bit closer. I have a microtech in my car, and know a couple people that might be able to help you out at least getting it installed it, and tuning it enough for you to drive it. I could ask them.

I also know someone in the tri-cities that has installed his Microtech himself, I will give him a call see what he says and PM you a message if he wants to give you a helping hand.
