need help!

hey can someone here tell me why my rx7 starts up but wont stay running. it has to do with the airflow box thing but i have no idea. if you take off the airbox it turns on and stays running but if you put it back on it shuts off...any help? also does anyone have a 1985 rx7 alternator, front bumper or right fender for sale for a cheap price...?

I'm guessing it's a 1985 non-turbo.

hmm with my bad experience with the air flow sensor, mine did the same thing. you have to make sure it is sealed all the way down to the sensor/air filter. after having it sealed you ahve proboblly cranked it over alot so with my car it flooded the engine. i pulled the green ignition fuse in teh black little box, and cranked it over to flush it, then plugged it back in while crankin it over and started right up like a champ. let me kno if it helped
