na build questions

so im thinking of doing a beast na build.... any suggestions? im hoping to get upwards of 180 hp. motor will be headed into my na drift project. porting suggestions? im not really sure what all i can do to get power out of an na motor besides porting. street or bridge? any suggestion welcomed. ive never rebuilt a rotary before so ill be looking for anyone who can lend a helping hand. this is just an idea im toying with as i was initially gonna go with a t2 swap but im looking to do something slightly different now. has to be a daily driver as well

Well if you are looking to keep it a daily driver then nothing but streetport will do. Instead of working the opening side we will need to wokr on cosing and cleaning up the runners. Next will be ensure the exhaust and intake are somewhat matched up to run in the powerband you want. Otherwise the engine will be stuck making power at the exact point it is doing it right now. There will be more power just not where you want it. Upgrade trans rear and axles and I think you have a winner. Did I mention an AFC or standalone to properly tune for the setup? Hard to change things for a better tune without one. Just my 2 Euro Cents.

Jesus.

if your looking for a daily i would recommend streetport i have a 87 na that is somewhat built 6 port 13b with large streetport never drifted it much but when i did it was a beast and all i had done other then porting is 2.5" straight pipe to 3 inch corksport, wired open 6 ports intake not much done and i know your going for a drift car but i somehow it kept up with a 99 gsxr 600 up to bout 160 ish so power wise i think you might wanna look into something similar to my build

streetport t2. but if you want to keep it na

streetport, with supporting mods, header, 2.5" all the way header back, some 4.44 or 4.77 rear end gears, lightweight flywheel. more fuel. that should get it done.

get a used FD pump if anything, cheap and better then a Walboro or semilar pump because they cheat on there advertisments. get the six port sleeves from Pineapple and wire the sleeves open. you won't have much bottom end but you need a cat to run the actuators or make something open them up manually. not worth the time to do that in my opinion. when i was drifting on my NA motor i was never in low enough RPM to care about actuation points. make a intake, buy a nicer header and exhaust, street port it if you can and throw on a MSD or something similiar. SAFC will work or for the same price you can get a Rtec which is much better in my opinion.

and if you wanna fake the power, put stock wheels and tires on or something with the same sizes, weights or ratios. my 7 felt like a beast on stock wheels and tires and it only made 144 at the wheels lol.
