finsished, stripping down the motor. just cleaning the gaskets off, and trying to find something to get the oil injectors off with. all my 14's are too fat to fit.
Got most of the gaskets off. the turbo oil line is off ready for the stainless one. I have a turbo timer, debating weather or not to install it. I'm not worryied about not being able to do an emergency shut off. I plan on hooking up the e brake feature. so if its not pulled it will just turn off.

its the nature of the game of modded cars bruce. you fix it, it brakes you fix it, it brakes. over and over again. Its worth it to some of us. others not so much. Just keep with it. its a love hate relationship.

sunday?? Got a bit more done today, Omp all blocked off. no more leaky lines.. LIM back on with new gaskets and coolant seals. I put on the manifold that I had removed the twin scroll on last year. I didn't really like it, but now I have a larger exhaust, and the new wiring harness doesn't have the plug for it. so its gone. Less issues to worry about though.

Other little odds and ends have been done. clutch line, duel alt pully, talked to it. ect.

well its finally starting to get somewhere. found out the side moldings I had are both passage side and both broken and about 2" short. so need to find some good ones... already put 3M tape on the drivers side too. thats when I noticed. so what do you have in your yard bruce?

Got the alignment tool for the clutch, now I just have to pull the tranny. I modified a 13 dollar pilot bearing puller from o'rielly with a hand file to not lose the temper. took about half hour of filing and rounding hard corners but should pull it no problem now. I just replaced the TO bearing so I'm just gonna reuse that one.

Bruce your V8 is going down.

Got home from school painted some parts, then I went into work mode and pulled the exhaust off, pulled the drive line, then decided to go ahead and drop the tranny. Went inside to take a brake ended up showering...... Girl friend wouldn't let me touch anything. so hopfully thursday or friday, I'll have the clutch flywheel and tranny back on. also want to get the rear end all done this weekend. long as I can keep focused.

I'll try and get some pictures up soon.

So having an issue getting the flywheel nut off. and I can't find my slide hammer now.... so I'm stuck at the moment. I'm using a dewalt electric 3/4 impact gun and a flywheel stopper and a torch and WD 40 won't ******* budge. I don't have Air but I have an air powered 3/4" impact gun. so if anyone has a compressor I can borrow let me know. I can get everything else done and ready to start and have the car towed within 100 miles of my house and put the tranny on there. but I'd rather not. I just wan't to check this off the list and move on to the rear end so I can start it up and **** off the neigbors.

I don't think so.... with the rotation of the motor it would be more of a chance it would spin off. probably no chance since theres a key also but it looks like normal rotation on threads. I'll double check.

HAve you tried a hammer and a punch. I have seen that work, if you hit it hard just right you can get it loose. i wouldnt cut it off, if you wanna reuse that e shaft, cutting it off I think you will end up damaging the threads. Engine in or out of the car? If its out, you just need to get creative. The way I have always done it, is get a 4 foot piece of pipe, like schedule forty. lay on end on top of the engine, then run a tie down strap around it and down to the ac studs or a bell housing bolt. then get the 4 foot breaker bar on there.

I busted that damb flywheel nut off last week with air. took 140 PSI.

now I'm working on the Dtss bushings now. 1st ones out, and almost back in. my bolt gave up and stripped..... ACE already closed. I'll finish up tomorrow, and move on to the diff and subframe mounts, then the rear control arm bushings. Scraped the passanger door clean and installed the other door molding, now the car looks nice from the outside.

My girlfriends dad gave me a car buffer, so I'll probably do that this week, just for fun. just not where i grab to slide out. i'll do that when it's just about back.
