my new projects....

well i recently aquired this diamond in the ruff yusterday... well really rough diamond, maybe its coal... there sprolly some diamond in there somewheres??

, for 500 a 87 NA, but look under the hood a TURBO II ENGINE! w00 h00, it was some guys project that he gave up on, so i bought it, had a bunch of vacume leaks and no driveline, and a bunch of quirks i need to iron out. nothing time wont fix tho.... since im starting to get more familiar with these cars now days...
a nice turbo II hood, the paints a bit rough in the front but the car is straight!

look s5 tail lights ANOTHER BONUS!!!, the hubcap wheels are horable ill have to find some better ones then that

good condition interior!

not sure what my plans are with the car, its a base model so i dont really like the chasis, either keep it, part it, or fix all the problems and sell it for alot more then i paid... so i can buy a motor for my real turbo II

got another project restoring a 87 sport model but i dont have any pics of that one yet....

good progress so far, i got it to idle, but its idling rather high seems to be at about 1500 while warm, and sounds like tps isnt adjusted corectly im gonna take care of that next....

then i got a driveline installed and did a little test drive around the block , nothing fancy just seeing if she moves

i fixed the headlight turned out someone must of sat on the head light or somthing and it bent the rod that moves it up and down so it was getting stuck, bent the rod straight and she goes up and down perfect now

well if all goes well i can have the car driving this weekend!! w00 hoo, ben let me borrow your BOV!!!

problems:
1. temp gauge wont work, maxes out with car on but not running then goes all the way down when car is running??
2.idle is very high, i adjusted the tps correctly, but idle ussually stays at 1500 or so, and like 2200 cold, what causes this??

anyone have any ideas please need some help

1. Do you have the proper ECU,
2. Does it idle rough or smooth?
2. Was the idle air mixture screw set properly (located on the side of the BAC valve)?

I'm Pming you a number to call. Its long distance for you but will help you out.

1. Check to make sure the temp gauge sensor is hooked up.
2. Check linkage and the throttle body adjustment screw
3. A vac leak can cause high idle and is serious because the air is un-metered by the AFM
