my new 1985 GS

Yo,

I just bought me a black 1985 GS in Spokane WA. I have had lots of fun with it sp far doing dounts and burnouts. But I was hearing some noise comming from the rear. Some grinding and poping. I thought mabie U joints or low fluid. When i checked none of those things were bad. I took off the wheels to check the breaks and there was my problem. My rear pads around the drum were all crumbled as **** and broke a seal. So I have to get a repair kit and ****. But so far its a great car. The weird thing about this is my breaks were working the same. I could of died of no breaks!!!!

Welcome to the rotary hot spot. be careful when you do the brakes, so you don't have to bleed them, it's a bitch. They only have one bleeder, so it's hell trying to get it to bleed out both sides. btw, where did you get the car? did anyone else know of a black gs for sale?

I saw the car siting for sale in front of a landscaping place. The guy that was selling it wanted to sell it for 1000$. I talked him down to 500$ . The rear lug nut had been drilled out so there are only 3 lugs on the rear left. So i need to get some new wheels. I met some people on 16th and Bowdish that have rx-7's.

Congatulations, the people on here are like family, very helpful. Use the search to find parts and look up how to fix stuff also.

I'd almost bet the lug nut isn't drilled, just missing. if it is missing, I've probably got what you need.

Well holy crap! I got my rear drum all fixed up and all working again. It only took me 3 hrs to finish. That was my first time doing drums so next time it should be much easer. But my car is running great now!
