Does it sound like it wants to start when you crank it? You should list what you have checked.

 

Did you test the spark using a new sparkplug.

 

yes ive unflodded it, and i got it to start, but it was really weak, felt like no power
first i thought great i blew my engine
but i sound checked through the spark plug holes and got a consistant PFFT PFFT PFFT from both rotors

i then tested my spark and now im getting no spark at all...

grr more headaches

 

i tested the spark using a clean low mileage NGK plug

 

Did you talk sweet to it?
That is good for about 15 psi increase in compression.
Also clean your battery terminals because it is fun to do.

 

Test the voltage on your coils and igniter.See how much voltage they have.It could be the coils or igniter. from the story your telling.

 

Also the rotary gods could have chosen to smite you just for their personal enertainment.

got the car running fine, now i just need to figure out why its idling choppy and cutting out at 5 k rpm's

i think it just needs every component of the ignition replaced including the wiring
simple fix, but i dont have the time or money to mess with it
i need something reliable

have you checked your pickups on your distributer? maybe they are encased in residue, you can chip off whats there with a screwdriver, and that could be the issue?

Same thing as replacing your distributer cap... just put some elbow grease into it.
