Mod shops near Bellevue?

Well since my last shop took a dive on me I need to look for a new shop. Doing mostly bodykit work, paint, ECU install and of course full intake work. Basicly I read the rx7shops and mod places but I have yet to find a good simple mod shop that knows at least a little about the rx7 enough the put on a 99spec frount without screwing up.

You know that ECU and intake is easy enough that you can do it your self? As for bodyshop I am also looking for one. If you need help with ECU and intake, I can help you.

the reason why I don't do it myself, I don't have all the tools needed and I have never done ECU work, frankly I am scared of frying anything electrical. Real expensicve to replace.

Take the money that you would have to pay a shop to get that work done, invest it in a Dictionary, and some tools. Then, use a service that is generally free, or very cheap (internet), and learn what you need to know to do the work yourself. That, in the end, will net you the best results: knowledge, tools, and wisdom. Can I get a hurrah for expanding one's abilities?

Would love to, I really wound. But #1 I don't have a shop or enough space to do it, and #2 if I do break something It would be my own fault, if a shop broke it they would have to pay out the *** to fix it. As for knowledge I do want to learn more, so when they work on the car I carefully watch what they do and ask questions along the way. If I had the time and space I would do everything myself but alas I don't, but not doing it myself doesn't mean I won't try to learn.

If you believe that either you are a really good lawyer or you havent been screwed over by a shop yet. Not many shops are going to let you help them work on the car and teach you stuff. You need to have friends that you know to be able to do that stuff. I can't think of any shops off the top of my head that I would recommend around the Bellevue are for working on an RX-7. Although some of these other guys posts aren't responding with the appropriate answer to your question they are right that you will save a lot of money by doing some of the work yourself. I am sure you could find someone on the forum that you could take your car too and you guys can spend a weekend installing an intercooler, or catback or something. If you are just doing an air intake that can be done with a screwdriver and a crescent wrench in about an hour.

^^^That is excatly I was talking about. I know that not many shop would let you hangout in thier shop while they work on the car. I learn to work on all the stuff for the car from another member with FD. Now, I just want to help other people if they want to learn.

HA, i made that mistake when i let a shop work on my car. I paid far out the *** for a v-mount that doesnt work properly. NEVER TRUST A SHOP EVEN IF A FRIEND YOU KNOW WORKS THERE. ALWAYS GET PAPER WORK AS WELL. I'm still kicking myself in the *** for that.

Now i have a rebuild to do, and no money left over. I've asked someone nearbye if he could help me with a rebuild. I'll have to pay far less if i helped him rather than a shop charging me more.

Well if you insist on taking it to a shop instead of doing it yourself, then so be it.

There are no shops in the northern part of the state that are "specialty" shops. The only one that I know of period is Atkins. I THINK that Mazda Tech went out of buisness, or had some other problems? Dont quote me on that, but I remember something happening reguarding them.

Your next best option is to find someone here who knows the FD really well, and ask if they will help you (trusting a stranger though). That would be cheaper as well, even if you paid them for their time, because if you have a shop order your parts, they will charge more than you would pay if you got them on your own (not 100% sure, never dealt with a shop before).
