mitigation help plz

anyone ever fight a ticket through a mitigation write up? I was ticketed, checked the mitigation box, now the department has sent me a paper where I can either write in or appear in court.
I really don't want to appear in person but I have never hand wrote one of these papers and want to try, anyone have tips on wording or things I should say or bring up to have a chance at winning this?

ticket was 51mph in a 35mph zone ($195)
it was given at 4.30am on a sunday morning
I was not drinking and did cooperate fully
I have never been written a speeding ticket but... I do have Two Neg 2nd degree's to my record, sux ballz.

I will appreciate any help, I'm too broke to hire a lawyer but I want the $25 a month my insurance will drop in Octo if my record does not become worse.

Well mitigation isn't gonna get it dismissed. If you've already got two Neg 2nd degrees you're screwed at getting it dismissed or deferred. You'd have to contest it with an attorney to get it dismissed. There is a slim chance you can get it deferred but I doubt it's going to happen with your prior record. The best that can happen is your fine gets reduced and hope your insurance doesn't check your record when you renew.

Also, attorney are hit and miss. I had one I hired to fight a bogus "speeding" ticket I got for accelerating into a 55 from a 35 I was pulled over for 49mph in a 35 because I hadn't reachde the 55 sign yet. Anyways, attorney missed 3 court appearances I kept getting suspended license warnings, in the end he paid the fine, waived his fee, and the ticket went on my record. WEAK
