Missed an interesting one in Yakima

This car just sold off of Craigslist in Yakima, anyone here buy it? I understand it was built by the guy who built my yellow Rx2. The red Rx7 was a convert that was shortened, lightened and was supposed to be running a T2 drive line. Looks like it would be fun on the track, maybe 1800 lb and could have 300 hp.

So who has it?

If I had to guess, I would say John Jenkins.

Looks like it has a v8 or .. at least not a rotary engine. In the scoop I think I can see a big air filter.

Everything else in the drivetrain was T2, I do not know what it is today. But, since Gene is a bit of a rotary guy, I bet it still has a rotary in it. He do some interesting things, like a 13B into a Alpha. John, Gene was racing in the Yakima area for years. I am not sure if he is still racing.

he had an alfa romeo with a tII in his shop when i picked up the yellow car, so he does do some interesting things. (or at least things that very few other folk would consider).

I went and looked at this car it was around 5th and tieton, it had a huge aircleaner, and it was carburated. there was also a really straight 86' that went to the junk yard unfortunatly. There were 3 340sx's a toyota corona that is still there, and a old school delivery van.
