I'm not in need of a rebuild...only 60k orig miles. My friend is kinda looking at a 89 with a rebuild from mazda n more, so I was just wondering how they are.

Well I had a motor built there when Ken Durkey owned it, and it was a crappy build job with used parts. Kinda like some other shops not saying any names. Anyways,
the motor only lasted a few months. Ken has sold the shop. It is still mazdas and more. I don't think they do rebulids any more, they basically are a transmission shop.

I myself would not go there.....but go to pineapple or corksport, or Alien Auto.

I think that they are no longer in business. I drove by the shop and some other company is there. Unless they just moved?

Have your friend get a compression test on the car if it has a few thousand miles on the rebuild and the compression is good he should be ok but should expect to rebuild the motor sometime. Mazdas and more did not have a good reputation for rebuilds.

Mazdas and More are the worst. Run away from that place.

Mazda Motor Sports Development. Just saved me $200 on a gasket kit and a few other things. Go to two autocrosses, send in your results, order new parts for way cheaper. I bought a brand new LSD for less than people were selling used ones with 50,000+ miles on forums and ebay for.
