Exclamation This may be sad news to some of you

After several weeks of deliberation I decided to forfeit my employment with the construction company I was managing. I still hold my real estate license but have eliminated my every day income. After speaking with my brother in law, it appears I may be relocating I will be applying to a couple of different real estate investment companies in the Phoenix area within the upcoming weeks and will most likely fly down for interviews and be offered a position This is a great opportunity for me, but I'll be sad to leave all you guys behind as I head to warmer weather And before you ask, the FD will be going with if this does end up happening... But hey, you can all come visit me in the sunny weather! lol More to come.....

I did some testing at the Nissan test facility near Pheonix when I was a test rider/engineer for Indian Motorcycles. F@*K that place is hot and stays 100 degrees during the night in the summer.

Good luck, hope your FD has A/C and cloth seat.

afgmoto - I love the climate down there!! Unfortunately I do not have cloth or A/C in my FD, but thankfully it's not my daily car.

Spandy - I have checks coming from commissions on sales from the company at the end of this month. I also continue to actively sell real estate. It's just not a great market right now and there is definitely more potential to learn from some really successful people down in Arizona. Ultimately I'd like to own my own real estate brokerage and working with some amazing business people who are self made multimillionaires would do me some good. I was offered a position down there back in April, but decided to hold off and continue to see how things woul pan out up here. I'm still "fresh" meaning within the period where most people give up on their attempt at real estate, but I've done enough business already to know this is my career, I just really want to broaden my experience. Not to mention I've been contemplating this relocation for a couple of years now. And I feel the time is right. The management gig was just turning into hell with the owner trying to have more say in the business rather than allowing me my free rain and he was very close to losing the majority of our clients because of it. He's not very service oriented. Good at real estate, not good at customer service or construction companies, hence the reason I was running it for him.

UPS - you wanna ship my stuff down there? hahaha

You should try and hold out till at least next Feb. I bet the market will pick up by then. I've had a very tough time w/ realestate these last few months. I have clients, but w/ lenders as they are, they have little faith in the market.
Look into this: <<<LINK>>>
It may help potential clients have some faith in the housing market. Keep in mind for that loan you need 10% equity and a 680+ credit score, and can cost 2 points upfront. Also anyone that wants to refinance/buy SHOULD look into this product.

You just have to stick in there and wait it out.

Good luck!

mwmburton - yeah I love how fast people drive there. Average speed on the freeway is at least 80-90 mph. I was afraid I'd get shot when I traveled there with my parents. Dad drove the rental car 5 mph UNDER the limit...!! You're more than welcome to come visit. I will most likely be in a condo owned by the company I will be working for. Most of which are fairly new construction. Nice complexes. Just need a garage *crosses fingers*

Clayton, it's not that I've lost faith in the market here, believe me I'd love to stay here, but the best opportunity for me to learn from the best and position myself to one day own my own company leads me to Arizona. I have clients currently that I'm working with... I may one day be back, I may continue my venture in Arizona. Only time will tell. But this is strictly based on positioning myself for the future. I know things will pick up here, but that only continues adding experience under my belt, and sure business will pick up as the rate of referrals increases as well, but this is strictly a decision for my future. I passed it up once with no regrets, and feel that now is finally the right time for this to begin.

I wish you luck.

My blood is to thick for arizona. I had four friends go down there for school at uti. Anyways at one of their partys, some crazy people ended up having a point blank shoot out inside there house INSIDE THEIR HOUSE!!! Just remember, the desert is a vast area where many people end up missing, seriously watch out for yourself man, don't step on peoples toes

Hope to see you back here in a few years as a millionaire.

Oh- check out the roads by the Catalina mountains in Tucson. Specifically the road that leads to Mt. Lemon. Definatly a fun drive from what I recall. I used to live in Tucson... Took a few years to get used to the heat. A/C is a MUST.

Aaron, you forget I'm a g, can't no tricks mess wit me

Percent, that's part of the reason for the change. I needs me some money to get it faster and licensed lol

I'll be sure to find some good roads when I'm down there, although most of my time I'm sure will be spent handling business... We'll see. Bro in law is setting up an interview for me with another elite management company down there, not his, but it's a good start.

well this is the pits... Let me know what you plan to do... I wont have anymore North end buddies to cruise with. Course I am planning to move down to Renton. I know what it is like to quit before you have another job so if you need anything letme know. I hope that everything goes good for you.

If TIm does move to AZ then I think we should all cruise down there for the SEATTLE - ARIZONA game next year and sport the Blue and Green!! I have never been to a NFL game so that would be a good excuse and it would be warm!

Looks like it's gonna cost an arm and a leg to get the car down there =( An extra $400 on top of the usual tranportation charge to have it shipped in an enclosed trailer... OUCH! It's $470 nefore that extra charge... Then about another $500 to have it picked up from my place and dropped off at the new place. Or I can not pay that and drive the car to Lakewood at their location and pick it up in Phoenix at their location...
