OR Looking for someone in PDX Metro for electrical issue...

I have a 1980 RX-7. Before my husband left on deployment, he's Navy, he pulled the sound system out and next thing we know he has no dash lights, no ignition, nothing. It won't start or anything.
I've tried tracing the wires from the dash to see if I even have any hot wires, but I seriously can't figure it out. Not to mention electrical is not my favorite thing to do to a car. Too frustrating and complicated.

Nonetheless now I'm looking for an electrical savvy person that I can throw money at to fix my stupid car. I called a couple of local places, but they didn't do much electrical.
If any one has any suggestions or someone I can call, that'd be great. Thanks.

PS: Don't tell me to check the fuses, I did that. Lol.

Have you checked the fuseable links in the engine bay?
Sounds like the main might have snapped...

ya sounds like he grounded out a hot wire that has no fuse or sumthin. that would pop the main fuse i think. fuses are the first thing that need to b check when u have a working car that all of a sudden has electrical problems. especially after rippin out a stereo.

Thank you so much for the fusable link idea. I meant to write back sooner, but I have been really busy. It did indeed happen to be a fusable link between the battery and the dash. The car is now fixed! Thanks!
