look what i found ( in the turbo!)

well i tore apart the my origonal t2 motor's turbocharger with 160K, and WAY to much shaft play, leaking oil everywhere, and then on top of that an apex seal flew threw it

when i took off the ehxaust side housing this fell out!!!

its a mangled up apex seal spring!! cant belive it got jammed up and lodged in the turbo housing.

unfortunitly i left the exhaust turbine at my freinds house, but the blades were pretty damaged

i found a picture of the exhaust side that gambone posted a while ago and i circled the damaged area

the circled area is pretty much gone, and the edge are bent over and all jagged, it was still making good boost on 1 rotor tho!

Years ago I supplied a 87 turbo jap import engine to a shop next to my work. It imediately went bad after starting and they figured that i supplied a bad motor. I took it apart and it had bunch of little triangler pieces imbedded in th rotor,, I finally figured out that it was one of those flat points files that went through the motor. It chopped i up into little bits that went through the turbo and also the top intercooler. Everything had to be replaced, motor turbo and intercooler too. I had to yank my truck motor out for the parts, but I had it back to them within a week. I did this gratis.. I never figured out how that file got into the motor or if it was mine or theirs. It must have fallen into the turbo inlet. You could shake the intercooler and here the little pieces inside. If we had reused the intercooler it would have taken out the second motor too. Stuff happens, and they are still friends because I stood by my work.

I seen a $2 ball point pen take out a $2500 dodge diesel motor. they opened it up and the engine rebuilder said "thats where that pen went". Yes just a ball point pen.

Used to want to become a marine, but not anymore... Plenty of them around here at Keesler AFB. I work out with them, no offense but most of them are pussies who think they are tough ****. Not to mention not very smart either. So good luck with becomming a marine, wouldn't want to be in your shoes.

OK kid do you even know what HUA stands for? It means Heard Understood Acknowledged. We here in the air force say it all the time. HUA dates back to the Vietnam war.

Then again sorry I can't expect too much from you, since you are a marine wannabe.
