Ok as most of you have read, Barney1omm Hates my FB. He also thinks its slow, but some of us here seen my little FB keep up with Bruce's T2 and the Q35 that didn't. who slowed the rest of the group down just couldn't keep up with either of us. I know My FB is kinda a multi colored POS, but I love her anyway. So both cars have some engine mods now. since Bruce was basically stock before. Now his T2 would probably just smoke my FB. But I think I could take him on the auto X track with a few more mods that should be done before the end of summer, and I think I can still keep up in the qtr mile. But probably not. Unless he gives me the 1/8 Mile head start he's always offering. then I think my FB has it now.

So basically this is a **** talking thread between me and barney, but all are welcome to join the fun.

I'm modding my T2 also, just in case.

jinx you may need to do some more mods honestly, The HP he's got is still a little more than your lesser weight... But only a few mods and your on your way...

I've got some more mods coming soon. I've also spent lots and lots of time driving twisty back roads, I drive one 2 times daily, but I can only go fast sometimes on that road. it does get traffic during the day, lots of tractors also. I think I can do good in auto X with her. If I don't get him this go round next year or so. IDK how long it will take to get all parts and tuned but the FB is getting a turbo, and I'm possibly going to tear it down after next summer and street port her. So far the FB has whats in the signature, plus is a true cold air intake freeze pluged and all. I rewrapped the headers and was very liberal with it since I had a giant roll. I'm getting a lightweight flywheel and 4.44 gears. Probably going welded diff to save some cash on the LSD and I like the sound of the chirping tires around slow corners. I'm going to match port and polish the intake this winter. I just need to get something to cover the intake passages while I have it out. I'm also going to modify the ap nozzle to squirt more. I already have more volume with the lever mod, also getting larger jets. I think it will be close either way. I know I'm gonna get nowhere near the HP since he's going to be pushing 300ish next summer. if not already, and I can't compete with the independent rear with LSD. I may go with another carb and intake if I'm not satisfied after that. The thing about auto X though more HP isn't always faster. I'm also going to be taking more weight out just in case. I should probably go on a diet as well. I'm also going to be redoing my exhaust. I bet if I can get some cleaner bends than my cut/bend/weld technique and get some flanges instead of just slip fits. I'll gain a few more HP. I've got some secret tech support that can help me get the most HP I can out of her. I've got a solid plan on a suspension. I don't think I'll be able to afford everything I want as far as suspension goes this year though. but will have re speed coil overs, poly bushings, probably modify the stock steering box till I can save up 900 bucks for R and P kit. Or I'll make my own next winter.

BTW I got a 5 dollar FD today at rite aid. my girl friend got it for me. she found it even. I'm astonished. she did admit that she saw the RX7 on the license plate and was the only reason she knew, but still that's awesome. I think she may be starting to like the sevens.

im going with everyone else get more mods my guttted 87 with the na 13b large streetport with some extras could not beat him but it was still pretty fun doing 2 runs in the rain getting up to 120 with it pooring down lol

 

I already know I'll need more mods. and he'll have me on the straits, but I've got the ability to push harder in the corners with a little less HP. He's going to half to be carfull with 300 HP.

I'm thinking he'll be at 300 by the time my FB's ready. It won't be done this year though. I just priced out everything I wan't to do and some parts are expensive and may take awile before I can drob large sums at once. 200 300 dollar items I can get every now and then 800 takes a little more work. I'm horrable at saving cash. I had to save 800 to get the FB in the first place.

I should really just look for a new welding job. then I could bridge port my 12A and bruce wouldn't know what just happend.....

 

im done !!!, plenty hp for me, prolb. going to blow seals now anyway. sell that fb and concentrate on t2 , that will take plenty of your dough , iv put 4 k in my 7 in 4 months thanks to the help of phil , ex seven , above , o ya , hes the 1 with 300 h in civic . hes at brake in mode now. put motor in couple days ago. see u this weekend jinx .let me no what time and day..........10mm

well . the dude got my turbo and dp off . ready for leftcoaster to pick up. to weld bung on and port wastgaste ... so that. and the fmic should be done shortly . I JUST WANT TO SPOOL DAMIT ........................10mm .. ps jinx stopped by today and got stuff for t2.. not fb.. hate that car.
