Arrow January Drive - Snow Flake Special

After talking with everyone who made the Sports Car Formal it's clear that we've been traveling a bit far for our drives, especially given the weather. So for January I think we should mix it up a bit. I propose we travel the most nut ball route from one end of Lake Washington to the other.

Snow Flake Special

I'd like some help figuring out which roads to include. I've several in mind, but not quite enough to make the whole rout interesting. If you have any ideas, please let me know. Even if they're a bit out of th way. General boundaries are the area surrounded by I-5 and I-405. We can fudge a bit though, if you know of REALLY good one just outside the lines. I've never been fond of coloring inside the lines any how.

I like the 908 road inbetween 405 and 90, the eastside isn't a very good place to want to take a group of sports cars out unless you are planning on just doing a cruise, lemme know what you decide on I'm down and live in kirkland.

Freeway is definately to be avoided, except perhaps a short stint 'cause one potential road is only accessible via freeway.

The plan is to use surface streets and back-roads as much as possible.

28 January. Meeting between 10 and 10:45, leaving at 11. Don't have a route yet, or a meeting place. I'll have a better idea by the end of next week. I usually have a route planned fairly well in advance, but the in-city format is a bit of a change. It'll either be a Renton/Tukwilla area meet and Lynnwood area finish, or the other way 'round.

All right, after much exploring followed by map studying to get the road names right, the route is finally done. It's a complex one, so study up.

http://www.the-winding-road.com/grou...nw20070128.php

And if that's not exciting enough, we now have more than 30 cars registered for this drive. We'll have to figure something out to prevent cars getting separated from the group, and to avoid drawing too much attention.

No race. Hitting trips on these roads would be down right reckless. The only semi safe bit for that would be the I-90 bridge, and come on, freeway speeding is pointless. Anyone can step on the gas and point the wheel straight ahead.

Don't get me wrong, there are some places to get a bit spirited, but this crew doesn't really race. We drive fast where and when it's safe, but we don't compete. We just enjoy regular spirited drives together.

The maps are done. Do to the recent weather, I had to do them completely online, so the cool feature I was hoping to introduce will have to wait for next month. The links to the map PDF's are at the top of the directions on this page.

Hey guys. in case you all didnt know. TooShort_88 is my little brother. And he can tend to get a little fruity at times. No the carbon fiber muffler bearings come stock on the cosmos as you all know.. LOL and ya we will be at the next drive. oh and everyone will be just as jealous as I am once they see the red Turbo RX tooShort_88 picked up for $300. Yes $300.00. The guy who sold it was an idiot and needed money for cheeseburgers. I might come in the convert. well have fun. I'm off to work now
