WOW interest has Really ramped up for the Smackdown weekend, clubs from as far away as Seattle and Salem are planning on fielding Teams, and Many individuals are coming to try their hand at the varied events. It is a 3 course challenge event with Drag, Drift and Autocross competitions. You can enter one or all 3 or any combination you choose, join a team or run independent.

Willamette Motor Club and NWAA are currently fielding "PRO" teams, with at least 2 more autocross groups planning on fielding teams of "Experienced racers" as well.

The internet car forums are represented in the Street Driven Competition by CARFREEKS.NET, ULTIMATECARFORUM.COM and TSDNW.COM, with at least one other internet group talking about fielding a team. We have opened it up to other internet groups to come on down.

THIS IS AN OPEN INVITATION TO ALL to come on down if your not driving to the SCCA nationals, this is the best event available.

This has been opened up to ANY car forum that wants to try and prove itself TOP DAWG. Or you can join one of the teams already forming. Bragging rights for a FULL YEAR. and inexpensive. Most teams are light on drifting talent, heres your chance to shine.




Smackdown Challenge Event Details

Saturday / Sunday September 22-23 Deep River, Naselle WA

Friendly competition to decide the "most skilled" internet car forum.

This consists of a "heads up" straight line acceleration test or "Drag"

A "Drift OFF" Drifting competition

And an autocross competition.

This will decide which forum has the best cars, and the best drivers.

All drivers are welcome to try their skills in any, or all of the tests. you do not have to be a member of any club to participate. No special skills or car modifications are required. A street legal , Safe car is all you need!! All cars will be inspected to meet safety guidelines, please review SCCA, and NWAA published safety rules. All cars run One at a Time NO side by side competition!

Saturday Track opens @ 7 AM

Registration and tech inspections 7:30 to 8:30 for "drag" portion of "Smackdown Challenge"

DO NOT BE LATE, Watch the Weather forecast

A maximum car count of no more than 40 cars per segment will be imposed, due to time constraints

Camping will be available on-site Friday night

If it looks like Rain, for safety, we will start with the "Drift" portion of the competition, so BE PREPARED to adjust your schedule.

Registration for the afternoon segment will begin @ 11:30 first car out by 1 PM. It is important you not be late. cars showing up after 1 PM will not be allowed to compete on Saturday.

Work assignment will be required of all competitors.

Event #7 of the 2007 NWAA Champ series

Registration & Tech open @ 8:30 AM first car out 10 AM

ALL CLASSES must be on site for the AM session, unless prior arrangements are made, If you show up at 11 AM you wont be running.

wow personly i think the rx-7 forums would put up one bigass fight for this. i only wish my car was more tuned

 

Well you guy's got almost a month. look at it as getting ready for next year.

 

SO>> been up 3 days, where are all the drifters and drag racers on this forum?? a chance to drift legal, for as low as 10 bucks, and nobody signs up?? you could do the whole weekend every event and dinner saturday night for less than 70 bucks and that includes gas. camping On site.
