Im Back (and outta bootcamp)

Well just thought i would drop by and say hi to the homies on the forum, been outta this place for about 4 months. I joined the Navy as an AD (Aviation Machinist Mate) about 8-10 months ago (D.E.P.). I was in bootcamp Nov. 20 - Jan. 18, went to Nstc great lakes for two weeks and now im in N.A.S. Pensacola, Florida for A-school which is awesome. If anyone has any general questions about the navy ill be more then happy to answer... its not what the recruiters made it out to be, but i enjoy serving and its keeping me outta trouble, and if anyone wants to contribute to the broke *** e-1 sailor fund ill send you my paypal

I also sold my 7, it was a sad day. I bought it right before my senior year in highschool and i had some good times in that ride. Ill probably pick up another 2nd gen in a few years..

Rx7 club ownz teh militaryz!!

I joined up to become an AD about 18 years ago... I never did go to A school they had promised me though. Straight from bootcamp/ flight deck training off to my Squadron in the Med and from there into Gulf War I. If you make Plane Captain you could have a great time whenever you pull into port and the Officers could get you out of a lot of trouble...ask me how I know :-)
Day to day Military life is definately not the sparkling bright picture recruitment ads portray it to be. But if you can put up with being parented in every aspect of your life for the next 4, 8 or however many years, and focus on doing the best you can while your in...who knows, you may even get to like it.
Try saving all you can while your in so you can buy yourself a 7 and use the GI Bill for further education when you get out. Best of Luck!- D

yeah plane captain would be sweet, i have a little kid fascination with being a pilot, ive been looking into ocs but more then likely im gonna get my 4-6 years in and gtfo. Im satisfied with the daily grind right now but im pretty easy to please, i bought a baller laptop and navy fed is gonna give me a sweet interested rate on a car and i have zero credit right now lol. advancement these days is rediculous too, its not that out of the question if i kept my **** squared that making 1st class by the end of my enlistment (4years) isnt out of the question. They have a deal at my A-school if im top 10% of my class and have good evals. they will advance you to 3rd class from E-1 when you hit your next command... 3rd class and having been in for 5 ****** months!!

robert pm me your number weve got bullshittin to do.
