I miss that sound, the sound of a pissed off B...
I have my Opel GT that I have been driving around all year, and its 50hp is... underwhelming as you can guess.
The plan was at first to toss a KL in there this winter, but after a year of reading a few failed Miata kl swaps, how much work it was to get it working when it did work, and pushed by class mates who think its just to ******* weird that I don't have a rotary plus with both the (KL & 13b) being around 150hp so why not.
All in all I want my motor back damn it! So a N/A 13b is what I am shooting for now. Hey my convertible got me from down town Woodinville to down town Leavenworth in a crisp 1hr 6min's. So am guessing a motor that can do that in a 3,0o0lb car will do vary well in a car under 2000lbs.
Tell me what you guys think... if anyone can help with parts I would appreciate the help. Or if you know if anyone is getting rid of a Renesis

I LOVED my 84' with a small ported 12a, but with how they are getting harder to find/get parts for, I think I will save 12a's for Rx's were they should be.

That's a hard one because you are vary far away, I be spending what I paid for the motor in gas. Seattle is with in reason with a 2 hour trip, but round trip to Vancouver almost 8-9 hours? I might have to pass in hopes for one closer, but thanks.

I have been going back and forth for months about what motor to use, and I know I wanted to keep the in side stock so I went after doing that first and little bits here and there I could get.
At the begging of the summer it looked like this... windshield was a bitch to find and get in.

If you cant tell the paint is bad on it... and bondo lived underneath. I have not taken any photos after I started paint striping, but I ran out of time this summer with 75% of the paint striped on the out side. Bondo was taking forever to get off! Only one bad rust spot, but thats being fixed with the wide body kit and fender flares that going on... Oh and I dont think am going to run any bumpers.
Putting in a S5 N/A, 98' exploder rear end, and we are doing stock 93' Camaro brake swap... should stop the car dang good if it can stop that 3500lb boat.
So... yeah thats the project so far in a nutshell.

Sadly as things must be so well timed, I lost my job this past Monday So anything that could have gone to the car is now just being hoarded for school It might be till the middle of summer till I'll be able to see her go
I like the wagon's, or at least the one I have seen. Guy put in the newer 2.5 fuel injection little monster! He had something like 280-290 to the wheels. Fast little bastard.

I need help anyone have a good DIY emmisons removal? (all the 7's I have had the rats nest was off already) Anything with LOTS of photos to make it easy? I am wanting to run this as bare bones as possible. No AC, power steering, and if I can I'll even toss out the air compressor.
Yes I did a emissions removal search, and I did not see what I was looking for.
Any tips, or anything a long these lines would be much appreciated.
Thanks Guys.

I really loved my 1976 Opel Kadett C Limousine with a 6 port BP 13B. I was able to keep up with most cars on the autobahn. The only thing I can advise you is that you get a good differential and tourque arm assembly on it. The rear end on the GT is weak and will not take the kind of abuse that our engine can dish out.
This is going to be lots of fun I can assure you.

The rear end I am using is out of a 98' Ford Exploder, big disk brakes and stong. Its wider but thats what body kits are for.

Long 4 dayweekend for me so the motor is getting pulled out! Done know if I will be able to get the rotisserie in or not. Depends on if a buddy can make it over with his welder.

Oh just for random times: to carb a 13b I have been told all you have to do is swap a 12a dist cap and coils. Any one know how true that is? I was looking at racing beat holley carb kit... seems like a simple way to get around electrical rewiring fun.
