Exclamation I know its a long shot....

I know its a long shot but...any person, any business, anyone have the simple Code Checker able to hook up to the 84-85 GSLSE computers or a Snap On reader thats compatible? It looks a little bigger than a deck of cards with a long wire to connect to the interface near the ECU. I would read it myself from my dealership's Snap On Solus tool but it seems to freeze just before it reads my computer for codes. This would mean it cant communicate. I dont want to take it to Parr Mazda due to all dealerships ask for the one hour rate for checking codes ie. $80. Please help. Need to know if my MAF meter, water thermo sensor and other crap is ok before I do my rebuild.

Jiffy Lube here in town checks em for free, and you can go to the Schucks here in town and give em your drivers license and they will loan you a code reader also.

I don't have the info in front of me, but I made my own code checker from a couple LED's. Think it cost a total of $2, and that was with parts to spare after a quick run to radio shack. I have the info at home if you can't find it searching, but I know it's out there. Let me know if you cant find the info, and I'll try to get it to you.
