So I thought I'd try to get media credentials for round 5 at Evergreen Speedway in Washington, and guess what, I GOT THEM!!!!! Since I want to do video I even had to go through G4, and Rick at G4 said that I was the first person EVER to send an e-mail back that was properly formatted and courteous and well worded. And that I am a video student too. So he approved me and now I get to have this awesome drift footage for my pending documentary and portfolio!!!!! I don't mean to seem so full of myself, but I'm so freakin stoked, I don't even care that I'm getting my car back from the shop a day late, and $300 more than I expected. I'm so happy I just had to let everyone know. I'm only 20 and I'm getting this shot at a dream of covering Formula D!!!!

 

Nice job! Make a DVD and I'll buy one from you.....me and about 400 other Drifters in the NW!

I don't know if I'll be able to sell anything but I certainly wouldn't mind distributing some of my work to those involved. I'd have to look into the fine print of whatever paperwork I'll have to fill out. I'm not in any position to be taken to court. Maybe some interviews or a segment on a car/driver in the NW area. I posted some stuff about my documentary I'd like to get going, and with the luck I had with Formula D I think that it will persuade a few people to join in the fun. Some shops are hesitant to let cameras in, but if I show up with sort of exclusive footage of a major Formula D event, I hope that people wil be jumping at a chance to be in it.

 

If you can, come join us at Monroe on Thursday, Aug 17th, the locals and the Formula D guys are going to be out on the track 6pm-10pm.....practice your video skills and camera angles before the main event on Saturday. $15 for a pit pass.

I don't think I can be there tomorrow cause of work, but on Friday, I'm trying to get off work to shoot the practice rounds and hopefully get some interviews with the drivers. But for future knowledge, I'm going to take a few Fridays off to go to the Drift/Drag/AutoX days at Evergreen to get more footage of Drifting, so let me know when you'll be there ahead of time and I'll try to be there to catch some of it.

 

I wish I wasent off to a wedding, I would drive up there and shoot with you.
