I just didn't drive my RX-7 for a few days. No air conditioning and over 90 degrees with dark leather seats and a stuck passenger window is bad news. It was fine today, though.

I didn't drive it on the hot Wednesday but I drove it Tuesday and I was cooking I have never seen air temps that high. they were in the 70+ degrees Celsius. I was getting a little worried.

I moved my hood latch up so my hood would always be open about 1.5 inches, made a big difference in under hood temps. I was experiencing vapor lock the carb was like cooking the fuel.
It cut out on me twice and need ATF to get her going again.
I am going to modify a hood and add vents so the heat can rise and escape..
Mine is a DD

I had a track day last sunday. She ran perfect! I didn't even have the skid plate on it either. But the overflow did bubble over after the 4th run. I just vented it w a rag then put fresh water in till it was full. Never saw the gauge go past 'normal' operating temp either.

But my idle was stupid low. It died a few times coming to a stop w the clutch in. No biggie though.

My suby's stainless braided fuel line ruptured with the heat....
I'm lucky the car didn't catch fire or go super lean as I was headed back from Seattle...

Sad day.

I had a good time in my FD in 100 Deg weather. I just change the setting on my fan switch to run constantly and it ran cool. On the other hand riding on the bike was scorching hot and I am not going do that again lol.

My black on black FD was ok... IAT's climbed fairly high when I got stuck in traffic and were slow to drop down on the highway.

My gas mileage seemed to decrease a little, but other than that it did great! I was very impressed, actually.

Its kinda loud again. not as bad as before. I DD my FB, and it normaly breaks down and needs parts every week. this week was good. Next week I'm get double the norm.
