HoofHearted Sunday

There will be a bunch of us rotards in Salem, Oregon on Sunday afternoon at my shop.

After the AutoX or after the Fair, stop by at 1164 Madison Salem, Oregon 97301 (in the back of the building) on the south side. I have a new shop and we are doing a tear-down/rebuild on a few engines (FD, 20B, NA).

There is a huge parking lot next to the building (east side), just waiting to be filled up with rotaries.

Enjoy the company of other enthusiasts; share knowledge, make connections and talk shop.

You don't need to have or drive a rotary engine car, but you do need to have an interest in them.

We are only a few blocks from the Oregon State Fair Grounds. So if you want to visit the fair, you can park here and save a few bucks on parking expense.

No charge. No jerks allowed. No drunks allowed. No thieves allowed. No bitching or bad mouthing allowed.

Be positive (karma exists).

Peace and good traction be with you.

Good turnout for a first time event.

We had eight rotards turn out.

Got one 20b torn down to the intermediate plate when we ran into a roadblock. How to seperate the two piece e-shaft. That is now figured out and next session we'll have it completely disassembled.

I guess I won't have to use my Sawzall on it, after all.

The other 20b, in the FC, is out and nearly ready to be opened up.

Some of us regulars (Jesse, Chris and Bob) will be there this Sunday at 1:00 in the afternoon, doing more rotard stuff.

You are invited.

Jesse may bring one of his RX's (FD or FC) down to be rebuilt.

It's more fun to work on them when there are more than just one person around. After all, who wants to be under a car that's up on jacks, with no one else around?

Not sure which dimensions you need. Your welcome to stop over at the shop and spec the e-shaft.

I've got a tap and dye set and a ruler; but if I were you, I wouldn't trust me to get the dimensions.

We're doing another Sunday afternoon session.

I've got a half dozen CD's with the RX7 Tech manuals and Parts list that will be given away free.

Hope to see you there.
