Help my Baby fix his true love?

Hi! My name is Pam. I am Chuck Pope's Girl. Tonight Chuck wrecked his car! I feel it's my fault I had to go to a community meeting because I am conducting a community clean up project and I was trying to get some volunteers. Chuck told me he didn’t feel like going but some how I talked him into it. we were doing 360's in the middle of 2 guardrails But it may not be as much damage as sounds but he is grey in color right now and we do not have the money for this right now the company he worked for 15 yrs recently moved to China and he was laid off he is 55 yrs old and this was his pride and joy can you help us find parts so he can have his baby back? The front & rear ends Bumpers were smashed as well as a passenger rear quarter panel and rear window broke out. So GOT PARTS?
(425)355-4866 He has a 93 Rx7 3rd Gen

NOOOO !! I am so sorry, Chuck!! Tell Chuck whatever he needs I'll try to help him find it. I know there are a few people locally selling parts for FD's (bumpers and whatnot).

For you other guys, Chuck HAS/HAD a beautiful black FD. Pristine condition. If you got any parts layin around he is in need of I know he'd appreciate the help. Thanks.

Tim

Not if there wasn't contact and the other driver kept going... unless he has full coverage (sadly most (including myself) only carry liability on a 14 yr old car), then it's all out of pocket.

You are paying for basically nothing. The money you're spending on full coverage you could save and use to repair your car if you do have an accident. Do you really think your insurance company is going to pay $xxxx.xx to repair a 91 model car that blue book value is less than the cost of the repairs? Hell no! They will total out your car, cut you a check for about $1500, and keep your car giving you the option to buy it back from them for $1700. And then you still have to pay to have it repaired.
EDIT: Oh and one more bit of added info, your insurance company probably won't insure the car any more because it now has a salvage title.

this is the worst news I have had in a long time!!! The other driver needs to be taken out and whipped!!! I only met chuck a few days ago and his car was beautiful. I hope none of those beautiful pipes were damaged. I know that we can get this fixed. If you can get me a list of parts needed I can get stock parts at wholesale prices and I might be able to have them put on for you as well if you need. How is the engine and the transmission? Are any of the expensive parts damaged? I will do what I can to help. On an up note Mazda does still make body parts for these vehicles so you can get the origional parts. Maybe this is the time to look at the cost of 99 spec parts. I don't know how much the origional parts will cost but maybe you can get a good deal on the new front style.

Regards,
Chris Lider

Hi,
Chuck here. I finally went out and looked at the damage today and it is so depressing seeing my pride and joy so totally f.....ed up. Im afraid that more than just the panels are screwed up. Left front has broken tie rod possibly and bent suspension components and maybe bent frame to suspension parts mounting, not sure yet. Right rear pretty much same scenario. Panel damaged enough to warrant cutting it out and puting new on in. At this point a rolling body may be feasible. Not really sure. Ive got good insurance and full coverage. Right now Im depressed as hell and will have to wait and see what happens.

Daniels Djohan, thank you for your generous and kind thought bringing me the front bumper off of your fd. I am deeply touched with your generousity. It was great meeting you. Please feel free to contact me for anything I can do to help you. You are awesome!

Thanks to all of you for your input. If anyone knows of an exemplary body shop that does exceptional work in the north end, please let me know.

-chuck

I am so touched by the out-pouring of generousity. You guys are awesome. Its truly an honor and priveledge to be part of this group.

I am going to try to jack the car up and evaluate the damage tomorrow. At that point I should be able to determine what it will take to repair the car.

thank you all,
chuck
