HELP HELP HELP with my T2

i need to find out whats wrong with my car. the trailing coil does not spark, it is plugged in and my tachometer doesnt work either. ive tried using 2 other coil packs from other T2s of the same year and they didnt work either. just got the motor in the car and this about the only problem with it. its an 87 T2 with a S5 block. NEED HELP ASAP I WANT MY CAR TO RUN GOOD

ive heard from people that it could be the wiring harnes, ecu, or bad connection...ive grounded down the car, looked at the wiring to many times and just dont know whats going on! somebody here help me get my rx7 going

Check to see if you're getting power to the coil and that the coil is grounded. Work backwards from there. It shouldn't matter that you're using a S5 block if you kept and used all the electronics from the S4. Do you have a multimeter? It'll soon be your best friend.
