Hayes Rotary

I've noticed a few of you have some good horror stories in reguards to Hayes Rotary. I'll be the first to admit I have a few myself, but in all fairness they have been working really hard to straighten things out. First off they've let a few people who caused a lot of problems go. Second, they've hired a guy named Mike who I can verify is EXCELLENT in 3rd gens. In fact that's all he works on. My car was literally in the shop for almost 2 years. Believe me, Don, Dennis, and Mike (service manager, not new tech) and I had some words. But in time they have come through for me. I don't work for Hayes, nor am I sponsored by them so don't think I'm getting anything for saying this. If you need 3rd gen stuff done, Hayes can now finally accomodate your needs. I'm on my 2nd motor from Hayes,(1st one is the horror story part) and I'm happy to say that I run that thing a lot harder than most people, and still have no problems whatsoever. (How's 22psi at 10,000 rpms in 3rd gear sound for hard?) Anyway, they're worth another look in my opinion, as I have seen both sides of their business.

My question is, what about the managment? If the same guys in managment gave you a run around before, whats going to stop them from doing it again in the future?

When its time for my FD to get an engine, i'm going to have Pineapple build me a motor, and either pay TuboJeff to do it (If he wants to ) or attempt it myself.

Pineapple Racing has up to a 5yr 60k mile warrenty, or a 2yr 24k mile warrenty. How many shops will warrenty a 3rd gen motor for 5yrs?

This is my .02, CJ

Hey dude, maybe since you think Don Hayes is such a good guy, you can call him and tell him to give me my engine and my money.

My ******* car has been sitting without an engine since December 2004 because of that asshat. I HAVEN'T SEEN ****, AND IT'S 2006!!! He doesn't even answer the ******* phone.

Hayes is a ******* low-life scumbag. Period. You need to rethink your compassion.

Where the hell have I been?! Is it really 2006 already?!
Regardless I don't care if you are ordering everything overseas from forums or what not, it does not take over a year to build these engines!
I am not backing Hayes or anything (didn't they get shut down by the IRS?).

Yeah, it is a very old thread. Consider this closed since Hayes Rotary is no longer in business.....
