Deena called me last night to let me hear the engine I'm getting from them running over the phone. Hopfully old red will be running soon. yes ill try and remember pic's this time.

Well ran the new (used) engine through the steam cleaner at work as well as a bunch of other parts. Here are some pic's of the engine, empty hole it's going into, and the interior that needs replacing.

 

Wow that motor cleaned up nice.

I still have some parts left from the parts car. send me a list of what you need. and I'll see what I have.

 

Don't think I need anything just have a couple of wants like the electronic dist.,a/c Upper a/c hose, compresor, and a/c mounting stuff. If you want money for it maybe we could make payments and take delivery when paid in full. let me know.

 

Anybody fell like giving a guy a hand getting the engine in his 7 this weekend; like saturday morning maybe. I'm getting stuff together for it today. Call me and let me know

 

Well crap Mazda dosn't have anything I need in stock so i guess I'm on hold for another week unless someone has a pilot baring and seal laying around. I could replace the baring and seal when I get my new ones. Everything else can go no the engine later.

 

Next weekend is our BBQ. Will you be coming?

Well it finaly happened i got the engine in old red yesterday. It's always good when an engine practicly fall in. Just a couple of things left (starter, missing exhaust stud and hookup a few wires)and I can start her up. The neighbers are going to love me starting the car with it's uncapped header I'm sure. Well off to the bank to get more money.

By the way if anyone is good at making sure I have everything hooked up right and timing the dizzy I could use an educated eye. Thanks

Yes it is out of the back of the truck and in the car. I'm having some starter and carb challenges but it is getting closer. John is helping me out and getting me pointed in the right direction.

Well Old Red still won't start for some silly reason; John and I have been beating our heads agianst the wall trying to figure it out. If your feeling bored and want a challange will be up and ready for the day by 10AM Saturday. Someone should be able to figure this out, maybe one of you can see something we can't. Give me a call if you need the addy or directions.

Some where along the line the pully with the timing marks got put on 1/4 turn off so when we timed the dizzy it was off enough all it would do in pop and snort now and then. Sure glad that ordeal is over.
