Good Portland area Mechanic??

Hello! It has been almost 2 years and I am ready to get my RX 7 rollin again. I was going to Cork sport, but I have been out of the loop and not sure if they still do mechanical work or not. I will give them a call soon and find that out, I just figured I would get info on anyone else out there as well.

I have been walking by it in my garage staring longingly for toooo long and this winter has been.....well not much of one to say the least increasing my desire.

DO NOT GO TO CORKSPORT! For many reasons I say this. I suggest GT Garge right next to Pinapple racing. Chris Godwin (the old Corksport rotary mechanic) owns it. # is 503-546-8749. He is at 13509 Whitaker Way, Portland. I would definately say to take it to him of all people. Corksport no longer has much of a rotary mechanic but a honda tuner. Still a great place for parts still but Chris is the mechanic you want to go to!

Thank you very much! Chris has worked on my car before and pineapple built my motor so thats where I'll head! Hopefully he is a little closer to me than Corksport lol Thats the main reason I was even thinking about going somewhere else. I need to get it running so I can get a few months driving in before I sell it.

Pineapple racing doesn't do mantainance unless it is just an engine. Chirs (right next door) is the one that does all the maintanance. Great guy and knows just about everything!

Just to let you guys know, Rob, Chris and Ralph Friend are all good friends of each other and mine. So that being said...Groundzero is anouther option for you if Chris is to busy. Ralph mostly works with single turbo 7s, Supras, some hondas, and now I think they are getting into corvettes too. You can PM Ralph under the name Xcessive. CJ

BTW, I'm heading to Ralphs tomorow to get some dyno time!

Ralph decided to make a hostile take over of GZ, so now he's the owner.

Ralph is located at 82nd and Sacremento (I can't spell.) CJ

The phone number for GT Garage is 503-473-8749. If you continue to have problems reaching Chris, shoot me a PM with your phone number and I will slap him upside the head with the post-it note (my office is in the same building).

Thanks! I called Pineapple and he gave me the right number, the first number had the first three digits transposed. It's going in early next week!
