Ghetto "Garage" at my house

So gofastrxy and I are working on his car, and we needed a garage to keep all of the rain out.

I had a portable tarp building lying around, so we decided to put that up, and then hold it together against the wind with... string, rope, and bungee cords.

It has full power from the house, including 6 work lights, and also a lantern and a few flashlights.

Took us a bit to build up, but she should be strong enough hopefully to hold up and allow us to work on the cars dry.

And here is what she looks like at night, this was before we installed a couple more of the lights however.

Epic creativeness.....I am getting the cold shoulder cause i kicked BOTH of my wife's cars outta the garage to set the FD's motor in their spot! LOL.....I have a feeling I am going to have to build something like yours.

have you thought about getting a couple tarps to drop down like doors so it isn't a wind tunnel?

hahaha, well just tell her the FD motor is worth more than both of her cars combined.

And no, I don't think putting more tarps would be a good idea, because then it would just be a solid wall for the wind, easier for it to get knocked down, rather than at least this way the wind can blow through... only making us cold rather than getting knocked unconscious by flying bars of metal. lol

Are you kidding? Real men don't need heaters! ...yes they do actually.

But it's not bad once you're under there and the lights have been on and had a chance to warm up, just wear a jacket and gloves, and you're perfectly 100% fine.

Makes sense. I was just thinking of one we used to have back in Georgia. We'd drop the end tarps when it was raining and such...

Yeah i think big heaters will be in order with La Nina coming!

Message Derekcat here on the forums, he wants that rocker panel possibly. He may take the whole shell for $10. :p

lol... I need to see the rocker panel in the daylight.. Needs to be in good condition though.. No sense in cutting/welding a semi broken one in place of a really broken one ^_^'

But what I really need off of a shell are the manual transmission mounts off of the body..
I'm starting to suspect that I've killed a[nother!] driveshaft and I don't really want to replace it with my flexy angle iron mounts :/

Man, you're hardcore bro. I won't even work in my garage if it's cold out. Or, I *will* but I rrreaally don't like to. Speaking of which....
