fu*k..my engine froze..
well apparently i didnt mix enough coolant in when i did my engine swap, i swear to god i had a 60/40 ratio. well anyway i go to start my car yesterday and i starts briefly and dies so i keep trying, eventually its flodded, or at least i think, i go out today and notice the radiator hose is bulged a little more than is usually is, so i grab it and its damn near solid, i then go to inspect everything and all the lines with water in them are frozen, my radiator and hoses are now in a cooler in front of a propane heater and there is a base heater under my hood in hopes of de thawing the thing. i just hope i didnt **** the engine block up.. garr..

haha, my buddies SE did this also. Funny thing is, it still runs fine after it thawed out which was a week later. I was worried he may have damaged a coolant seal or something else with all the expansion that goes on.
You maybe ok.

its like a totally different country once you cross the Cascades. Extreme hot in summer, and extreme cold in winter. I want some snow!!!!!!!!!

Damn, it did start!
I believe this is the first time when under hood temperatures included the words "frozen", it's kinda surreal.

BTW greg, I'd hate to bring it up in a post about freezing coolant, but you may want to move the licence plate so it does't obstruct the radiator. at ABF 2 years ago I had a bad overheating problem. moved the plate and it did fine.

well i got everything unthawed and in working order, the car runs just fine, turns out it was parked at a slant and wasent picking up gas from the tank, (doh!) anywho everything is fixed but i think the heater core ruptured (or is still frozen) will have to investigate later, but all i know is the engine is okay.

if the heater core was ruptured, wouldnt you be leaking coolant in the cabin?
