My brother has a 93 FD that he just recently finished doing an auto/manual swap on, and before he could drive it 200 miles, it died, wont start. It seems the car has a blown a rotor, I think it had over 70k on it and it's past treatment was questionable. Now he needs a rebuild and/or a new motor. He was thinking of just having it done at Pineapple, but it would be rather expensive and it would be a while before they could work on it. So now he's looking for other options. Any sugestions?

Here's a pic for refrence.

and a couple videos after it died, one with spark and one without.

Kahren, you'll have to ship to him, though. He uses all Mazda OEM pieces at very competitive prices with extremely good work. He also does some beautiful porting for low cost. Reason he can do everything for cheap is because he works out of his house/garage. Contact him and he can provide more info and pictures of his work.

His name on the board is Kahren you can PM him, or contact him on aim at kahren1981

Do it yourself...If price is a factor then go to Lopy if not then pineapple is your best bet.

Don't forget Corksport either...

have you done a compression check? Why look for a rebuiild unless you want one or know that is what you need. check out mt peak in enumclaw for diagnostics if you cant do it yourself. Mark is a square shooter and is reasonable on rates....

yeah, I was just going to say-- check the compression on the motor before you do anything. I highly recommend pineapple, no offense to the others mentioned, but I have had nothing but good experiences with rob.

Thanks for all the info, hopefully he'll figure out something soon and get his FD going again. In the mean time he picked this up for $1,500.
