Endurance Racing in the Pacific Northwest?
I've been looking into endurance racing as of late, and am not finding any local events. However I'm not looking to enter the 24 hour race of lemons or similar events. Does anyone know of any series that are held in the pacific northwest or within nearby states?
There is a 4 hour enduro at Pacific Raceways every October. I think it's an irdc event. I believe PIR does something similar.
THere is always 25 hours at thunderhill but that's a bit more of a trip. (Here's a video of thunderhill - The car is a 1970 Datsun 240Z, with 160 hp. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avjxkrYxa-k )
Lots of folks on the other forum I frequent do the PR one. I think you will have to go through some driver training and get at least novice license to participate. Here's a recap post about it. http://www.bmwpugetsound.com/vbb/sho...ghlight=enduro
Probably won't see too much until spring hits anyway. SOunds like you will be having a fun race season next year?

I dont think I'll be joining an event this next year, but am planning for the year afterwards. This next year, I'm gonna stick with local autocross events. For endurance racing I'm looking into a dedicated track car that is purpose built. My Rx-7 will remain comfortable and suited towards autocross and road trip duty. I just need to fix my suspension and get the new rims and tires. Thanks for the info!
Here's a link to the form for last years event:

Jeff Clark will rent you a Miata - you may want to try it out before you dump too much money.
Spec 7 (1st gens), Pro3 and Miata are all pretty popular track cars. Somewhat affordable to run too. Find one that's already built and you'll save some $$$.
