Plenty of people have totaled cars at PIR, and every other racetrack in the country.

Here's an invite a number of folks got a couple days ago.
Late notice I know, it just now occurred to me to post this.
--------------------------------------
Hey there people,
I know it's late notice, but this Friday, Jim Jordan - Mazda's Alternative
Marketing Manager, and Dean Case, Mazda Motorsports PR guy, will be speaking
at the Shanghai Noble House from 7-9 PM about the Mazda Grand Prix of
Portland, scheduled for July 25-27.
It's a no-host thing - buy your own dinner and/or drinks and listen to these
guys talk about the Mazda Motorsports ladder program, the July event, and
the future of Mazda Motorsports. This is a GREAT chance to get time with
Mazda people in a small, relaxed setting.
Can you guys put the word out to the Rotary folks in greater Portland and
throughout the Northwest? We hope that RPNW will have a BIG presence at the
July event, which is headlined by the Renesis-powered Star Mazda series and
also includes open drags, open Time Attack, and drifting.
Here's the location for Friday:
Shanghai Noble House Restaurant
5331 SW Macadam Ave # 115
Portland, OR 97239
(503) 227-3136
7-9 PM

Got some more info tonight.
afgmoto was there, where was everyone else?
There will be drifting at the event, but not local drifters.
Formula D will be there.
Some of the racing that will be there that weekend:
* MX-5 cup
* Formula Mazda
* VW Jetta TDI Cup
* Spec Miata ( I think, should have snap a pic of the slide)
* Time Attack
* Run what you brung Drag racing.
General Admission is $15 per person, all General Admission
Car clubs will get a discount - $10 per person.
The $10 includes your drag race entry fee.
It costs $8.00 per person just to get in and watch the drags on Friday night.
I'm probably forgetting some stuff, but there's a lot going on that weekend.
