I'll be passing this one up...... and going Friday 8/22 instead. BOTI will be running, but i'll be doing T&T... it just works better for me.

That should give me some time to get my intake re-routed and make some other minor changes.

No one seems all that interested. Everyone claims that drags are boring, and that turns show who really knows how to drive their cars. Looks like it will be just myself and my friend with the MS3.

Hey just tell em.. its only boring when your watching from the stands.. albeit just a straight line.. thats one damn fun straight line... unless your in a NA rx7... then its just a really long seeming straight line... so i guess it could be seen as boring, in that regard. LOL.

or a SHO.. i hear those are damn slow too... hehe. poke....poke.....

the fun is learning to actually be competitive. getting the R/T consistently under .050 sec..... and then when you enter into ET races- putting guys on the trailer when you ice them on the top end too.

I will be the first to admit drag racing is boring. Thats why we only do it once a year. Its still fun once or twice a year, and its a great gauge to see where your car and all those expensive mods stack up.

Every year my wife post this up, we only get one to three rx7's out to the track. Its kinda sad, I hope we will have a few more folks show up this year.

Ironically, I went more in my old honda than I do now that I have a car that puts up respectable numbers. I only went to PR 1 time with my 7 just after I got it. There was one other with a silver FD, but couldn't run because of a blown Turbo Control solenoid.

I have fun dragging, but I will admit that it's only really fun after you do a mod and you post a decent set of consistant R/T's. Oh yeah, and its also fun for settling disputes about "who's faster in a straight line"

Word is it's supposed to rain Wednesday, which typically means closed Pac Raceways

Drag strip is closed due to rain.

As 1seven4me mentions, there is battle of the imports this Friday and Saturday if anyone wants to go. I probably won't, Chris might, although there isn't a class for 5 cyl motors.

Tim,
No drag racing next Weds. It's BOTI or sometime in October before there are test and tune drags again.

Alright. My friend with the Cougar said that his BMW friend who was gonna go down tonight had checked the BMW site and they rescheduled it for next week. I guess that was false information. No bigs. I'm not gonna be racing and not interested in BOTI

Wondered what you settled on.
