Drag Racing 8/15

Chris and I are headed out to Pacific Raceways to see what we can do on Wednesday, August 15. Would love to see some of you out there too.

I'd like to issue a challenge to a certain gal on here. We can call it "The battle of the black beasts" or "Swedish Safety vs. German Engineering". So Jenny, bring out that TC 850 wagon and race me in my 540. It'll be a really close race and lots of fun!!

Gates open up at 4:00 pm, if you get there around 4 you should be able to squeeze in about 4 runs before it gets busy.
Decisions? Do I support the wife or the old Turbo Brick, I am a man torn.

Cool, it will be good to see you. You'll be faster than me for sure. Did you make it out to Bremerton yesterday? We left right after our race since we did an early am work assignment. If so, hope you had fun. it was a good course for fast cars.

It was a fun day. Not sure how our times stacked up since we ran in the cold morning, but we took 3rd and 4th in street tire class. Nice, fast course, good for big cars.

That's right Grae, it was fun. I am proud to say I was the slowest BMW there. Ran a 14.73 at 96.4 mph. I'm quite pleased with my run with the 0.000 RT too. We will probably go out again towards the end of september when it's a little cooler.

It was a quiet nite at Pacific and I got 14 runs in.

Zach, bummer about the shifting. I was having a really hard time getting it down my first few runs but finally got it figured out. It's strange, I drive the car everyday, but was having a hard time at the track, trying to shift too fast I think.

Here's some pics. I'd have some rx-7s but there weren't very many there.

My favorite

Aren't they cute
