Door handle is broken lol

So my drivers side door handle doesnt work, and the guy I bought the car from told me what shop I could take it to (but I forgot the name lol). Anybody have any experience in this **** or where I could take it? Im afraid if I start poking around I could **** up the lock/key/everything and I dont really wanna do that lol. Im pretty sure its just the linkage but I cant be sure. Too lazy and too sick to be driving around and calling shops (Ozzy Osbourne concert has all but destroyed my throat). Thanks

You should just buy one from somebody, the lever is broken. It takes about a half an hour to replace it and you can just swap the lock over once you have the handle out of the door. Some people have fixed theirs, but its easier to just replace it.

Anything that is wrong can be fixed pretty easy with some used parts. Worst possible senerio is if the handle actually broke. That is a common problem with FC's as the handles are brittle cast steel that after 20-25 years of pulling a heavy door open just snap. I have had this break on me. If it isn't that then you are in luck. take the door card off and look in there. It's gonna be an easy fix either way.

well i figured out a way to fix mine. i cut out a thin piece of metal in the shape of the lever that pushes on the bracket that attaches to the rod and i drill a couple holes and re link the broken pieces. works great! ill post pics tonight

Lol that's awesome. I have a passanger door handle I'm trying to get rid of if you want it. I think it's off the arctic silver t2 I parted out once upon a time but I'm not sure, I check.
