Death of my FB

T boned by some idiot in a Suburban. Other than some back and neck pain I'm alright. It happened last Wednesday.
Chassis is pretty twisted. Storage bins are all smashed, which is never a good sign. The seat belt bolt which is normally an inch from the roll bar was smashed into the bar and the bar is all scratched up from it. Don't think the chassis is salvageable, nor do I expect her insurance to fix it. Looks like I'll get a $1000 check like the last time some r-tard totaled one of my FB's... Weak. I think this is my last FB for a while. I need a break.

Part out thread to come.

FC's are ghey. I already have one and I have owned them before. The FC wan't even supposed to be an Rx-7. I want to sell it soon and get a S4. Pretty fed up with 7's. This is the 2nd FB to be totaled by someone else. My white one was totaled in my old work parking lot while I was inside. Then I turbo'd it and shortly after a drunk driver totaled it again. Now this one gets totaled literally 7 days before it was going to be retired as a DD...

Make sure you get lots of pain and suffering from it.. Go to the Doc/Chiropractor as much as possible.. My friend's Protege was totaled recently and he's still adding onto the bill with more medical work. [He's prettymuch fine, but likewise has a little neck pain from it]

I'm told you can also settle the medical bill with them and get a pretty penny for it [$6K+]

I am in pain from it. For God's sake a Suburban hit me... w/o my cage I'd probably be dead. Unfortunately I had it. Her headlight was headed right for my face.

Its a damn shame. A FD or a 8 would suit you rather nicely. No car in the world is going so survive being t-boned by a suburban however.

Wouldn't most of your mods be recoverable? Why not just replace the body? They tend to fall out of the sky at times.

Anyway, I hope you get something going soon!

The engine placement in the Audi s4 is terrible. It's amazing the car handles as well as it does. It really makes me wonder how much better Audi could have made the car handle if the engine wasn't so far forward.

if you end up parting it out let me know about that front bumper. lol...

Good thing you're ok. it's always a sad day when a 7 dies, though. did the person who totaled it at least feel like a dumbass?

WTF is with these drivers man?!?!?

I really hope your neck and back are going to fully recover, it would be a shame if you can't fist pump any more

I'm really tore up about this because I'm nowhere in a position in my life to just get another shell and swap everything. Farting heck! I don't even have a place to put everything if I strip it all down. This woman has completely ruined the best/most fun/most reliable part of my life. When ever i get down about **** I would look outside and smile, not anymore...

park it in the driveway so you can see the clean passenger side, same idea we would use back in HS when one of my friends would dent their parents car.

Looking at the photos looks repairable to me. you can see the chassis isn't bent. Just look at the rail under the door. Its still straight and the bins are screwed because where she hit you.

Did you take it to a body shop for an estimate yet?

I know WTF I'm talking about, the chassis is bent. When you get tboned by a suburban you bend the chassis.. every seam is split and the car crab walks down the road... body seams are 1" apart in some places. And as I ******* said before the seatbelt is an inch closer to the roll bar. the chassis is done.

$2600 in assessed damage. NADA values the car at $3500 Still no idea what the appraiser valued the car at.. What a headache.

SADFACE! It's a total loss. I will be getting a call from the total loss adjuster within the next few days to go over options.
