Damn packrats!

I have officially spent over 200 hours cleaning up around our house. I absolutely can not believe how much USELESS stuff my father, brother, and self have collected over the years. Now that it is just me and my brother here, its getting a bit easier to throw out some of this junk.

Just to give a idea...
Number of Trips to the dump this summer: 7
Pounds of scrap metal recycled: 2.7 tons
Number of storage bins purchased for organizing: 35

I gave away/sold nearly 95% of my second gen parts.
This week I pulled out the 3rd gen parts to clean, sort, organize, inventory, photograph, and list for sale.

Tonight I finished unpacking a majority of it. 10 boxes are still packed. Sadly I will be moving a 3bd/2bt/2 car garage house in the near future and due to the uncertainty of my parents keeping this property, I have decided to part with nearly all my 3rd gen inventory. This is not a easy choice, its taken years to collect. I will continue to keep some parts on hand, but 3 complete interiors is just insane to pack around! (Well, that and the half a FD, 2 doors, 2 hatches, 3 subframes, 2 diffs, 4 exhaust systems, 4 drive shafts, 2 complete suspensions, ect ect....)

Man spyder I can relate to junk cleaning, but 200 hours is insane. If i lived closer to you i would have loved to give you a helping hand with organizing and cleaning. That sucks about the parents property ownership is up in the air, and your move. But im sure something great will come out of it.

BTW are you going to Corksports swap meet?

Well, I sorted and organized for 2 days straight and I am still not done.
I shot over 200 photos of parts fors ale (groups of 3 or more parts per pic).
I found brand new OEM parts I had no idea were in here. This has a large part of Turbo Jeffs old collection he posted on the forum years back. Its going to take me the weekend to finish pricing and listing everything.

Even with 20 storage containers, I still ended up with 5 boxes marked "Sort", haha.

I just did actually... The MB Touring I just bought needed literally everything from the firewall back... (Suspension/body/interior/wiring/seats/ect.)

Can you PM me a list of all your FD parts. I am very interested in anything you got. I'm friends and business partner with 1mzfe I know you've been working with him a bit. Have a good day.
