Question Clutch help

Well, my verts clutch went out. I think. I replaced the slave cylinder and bled it off. Still couldnt get it in gear. Will be checking to see if the master cylinder is working right tonight. If it is, the only other thing is maybe my clutch plate is not disengaging. Was wondering if anyone around might want to help me out. will pay you and supply the tools and jacks and jackstand. I know its an easy job, I just cant crawl around under the car. PM me if interested. Would like to enjoy the nice weather in it.

Thanks

Shawn

could you feel your clutch slipping before? How many times did you bleed the slave? did foam come out of it when you did? Can you spot metal flakes or debris in the clutch master fluid?

Take the lid off the clutch master cylinder then have a person gently push down on the clutch pedle . You should see the fluid spit upward as if there is a clam inside having fun. If that doesnt happen change it out. What I did to my 88 vert when this happend is I used a turky baster to suck out the brake fluid from the clutch master cylinder then I removed it. Simply push the drivers seat back all the way put a light down with the pedles and you should see two nuts that need to be removed. They are probly 8 or 10mm size. fill and bleed the master cylinder vigorasly. Good luck and please send a reply

the clutch did not slip at all. When it happened it happened suddenly and I was able to speed shift it all the way home. When I was bleeding the new slave cylinder it foamed at first. But seemed to be shooting a good stream after that. I could see the fluid cylinder sucking down the fluid after each bleed. Another thing that was weird ist the clutch pedal would seem to have good pressure, but wouldnt return up from the floor on its own. I was gonna use a pry bar today to see if i can push on the arm and get it to engage, a good way to tell if the master cylinder was bad, so I was told. I will also drain the cylinder out to see if anything is blocking like suggested.
Thanks for the info. maybe i can save 180$ on a clutch. I am leaning towards master cylinder since I can speed shift

Hi guys just a reminder that YELLOOOW!! got blown up in Iraq and can't physically do the job yet so any help you can give him would be very good. I'd be there but I live on the other side of the state.
