can any northend folks help with my 6-port idle?
i'm driving the car home tonight. but once i get it home (everett), i'm going to need to get the idle under control. right now it idles at about 2000 with the clutch disengaged, and repeatedly revs to 1500 and drops with the clutch engaged (same sort of thing happened with the old engine before it died).. i suspect it to just be TPS and idle being off since the engine and intake is from an entirely different generation of rx-7.
quick fix, hopefully.
if anyone wants to swing by this week sometime, i would appreciate the help.

Look For Any Vacume Leaks
my 86 6port had some imilare issues with the idle and yes ewhen the clutch was engaged and when disengaged. i ran into my issues when i installed a apex-i safc it drave me nuts untill i found the problem which was a vacume leak and it fixed it
What year and make is your car? Did you replace the manifold gasket or reuse the existing one? Check TPS/air fuel settings. I would also check to make sure your new manifold matches the block (bolts will line up but you might not be covering all the intake ports)
