bremerton area tech

i live in the bremerton area and need to know if there is anyone that could help adjust the idle on my rx7and air/fuel(it needs to be leaned can smell alot of fumes). Its a 86 rx7 na. I put new vaccum caps on it and now its idle is high. Is the idl easy to bring down with out detanating the motor. I pluged a vaccum hole on the psngr side of the motor. The motor is moded with a street port and some external mods. If any one can give me advice please help. Also Im having sunroof problems it wont close all the way. it gets all the way to shut but wont close down. Thanks rob

if the car is a NA , its VERY hard to actually detonate the motor hard enough to damage it . it iwll just die rather then detonate....

all rx7 have a rather gasy smelling exhuast, they are designed to run pretty rich. on the top of the throttle body there is a round rubber cap, with an adjustable screw under it( cap might be gone allready) this will adjust the idle down, as well as near the pasenger side strut tower is a L-R adjuster for idle only .

you CANT detonate the car at idle its pretty much imposible.... lol if you go too lean the car will just idle rough.... or die.... so feel free to play with it, it wont damage a thing!!!

try and clean out the tracks on the sun roof if you can see them...

Replacing the O2 sensor really helped my '87 with that heavy fuel smell in the exhaust.

I'm in Bremerton area and own a first gen but am becoming very fluent with S4 stuff. Let me know if adjusting the idle screw doesn't help you.
