OR Boost problems

I have the rotaryshack hybrid turbo thats made my turbonetics. I cant get more than 5 lbs out of it for some reason and i have NO boost leaks or leaks of any kind, anywhere. Im spooling at 2600 right to 5 and thats all im getting. The car had a hks boost controller when i bought it... we couldnt get more than five out of it. I put a manual boost controller in... couldnt get more than five...
I couldnt find too much info on this turbo but i'm sure that i'm missing something.
Everything on the turbo is tight as far as i can tell...
No leaks anywhere. Any ideas?

sounds like the wastegate might be having some problems or the vacuum/boost line to the controller might be bad.

Also, what else is done to the car. Some intercoolers can give you this same headache or any blockage in the intake or exhaust path. I worked on a newer GTO with a remote mount turbo and the intercooler dropped 5 lbs of boost.

I have a RB fcd. I have tried other FCD's thinking mine might be bad for other reasons in the past and mine works fine as far as i can tell. I'm sadly working with the stock intercooler but i have full 3" downpipe and exhuast w/ no muffler, stock ecu. I'm sure there are no intake/exhuast blockages or leaks. Could be ecu...
Block consists of massive street port w/ rx8 e-shaft and rotors, 3mm seals.
Ill check wastegate lines again.

Your boost controller simply isn't working, the wastegate is still working off of the wastegate spring and the boost controller isn't doing anything. Install/set it correctly and it will be fine.

It's not your fuel cut defender, trust me, you would know when you hit fuel cut.

Another new grants pass with no clue... great.

Um... based off what logic? Is it backwards day again?

The wastegate is opening at ~5 psi (4.5) just like it should, it is perfect. The boost controller is not keeping the wastegate closed until higher psi like it should, it is failing.

I believe it is the wastegate that comes with the rotaryshack turbo.
After talking with a friend this weekend I learned that the person i got the turbo from had bent the bracket that holds the wastegate to the turbo so he wouldnt boost past three pounds on break-in... Becuase on his first rebuild he was running 16lbs on break-in... and shot his apex seals across the freeway lol. I bent the bracket back and I'm glad to say i can boost easily up to fourteen pounds now. Thanks leftcoastdrifter. He got warned? lol

So I put the car back together. I fixed the vacuum line for the charge control (the flap in between the y pipe). And now the first turbo spools great!

but it still only goes up to 6-7 psi max.

same w the second turbo.. it makes boost and it def is pulling (and pretty good) but it is peaking at 6-7 psi even in higher gears w more load.

my mods are as follows:
stock seq twins
hks rs intake
dp
Racing beat mp (w resonator)
hks super dragger exhaust
hks twin power
