Blake Qualley Memorial
I know a lot of you have been waiting for this.....
I received this from Blakes mother today and she gave me permission to post it here.
Please join us for a memorial gathering for Blake on Saturday, December 1st from noon to 4pm. Blake would hate a formal service, so we thought it would be nice to concentrate on things he loved.....spending time with friends who shared his interests and his love of pizza.
The memorial gathering will be held at Old Town Pizza, 226 NW Davis, Portland 97209 - www.oldtownpizza.com
We have reserved the banquet room, but Old Town Pizza needs to know how many people they should be prepared to feed. We will provide pizza and a beverage. There are other things available to eat as well and a choice of beverages. Please email or call (206) 325-5273 to let us know if you will be able to join us and share a part of that day with us in Blake's honor.
Tell us how you knew Blake. Bring photos, if you have them. We will have a display of memorabilia and photos of various stages of his life we hope you will enjoy seeing.
We look forward to meeting you,
Warm regards,
Kare (mother) & Sabrina (sister)
P.S. Please feel free to forward this invitation to anyone who knew Blake

I asked about donation to help offset the cost, but she is not interested in that. Therefore I asked if we could take a collection for a charity donation in his name. She thought that was a great idea. I think we should let her pick the charity, but I know I'd definitely give a donation on his behalf. Anyone else interested in this let me know and maybe collectivley we can come up with a plan to take a collection.
For anyone the Seattle area planning to attend....let's get together and caravan down.....funeral procession if you will. I'm going, come hell or high water.

Last word I had was it would be scheduled for the spring, possibly using a modified version of the route from the recent Oregon drive, which I attended. I can tell you, over all it was an excellent route and some of the roads were phenomenal. One thing I would like to do on the next one is find a couple of good locations ahead of time and shoot some video.
